The Wesley College women's volleyball team could not hang on as Randolph-Macon swept the Wolverines, 3-0, in a non-conference matchup Friday night at Batten Center down in Virginia Beach, Va.
Set scores for the match were 25-22, 25-15, and 25-17.
The Wolverines hung on close in the first match with back and forth points being made all the way up until the end where they fell short and Randolph-Macon's Sydney Kogh, took the winning kill.
Randolph-Macon took an early second set lead going on a six point run to lead 20-14 but the Wolverines could not find their way back to drop the set, 25-15.
Regan Healey had six kills for the Wolverines.
The Wovlerines nearly tied Randolph-Macon in digs but fall short just one at, 55-54.
The girls are back on the court Saturday, August 31st as they face the tournament host team, Virginia Wesleyan. Opening whistle is set for 10:00 a.m. at the Batten Complex.
