Women's Soccer Received Atlantic East All-Conference First Team Awards

Lancaster, Pa. – Mackenzie Forsythe, Emily Caldarelli, Allison Backert and Amanda Moccaldi all earned spots on the Atlantic East All-Conference First Team announced Thursday.

Senior Mackenzie Forsythe was one of four who received the All-Conference first team honor. Forsythe led the conference in points (28) and game-winning goals (4). She finished second in goals scored (12), fourth in shots (44), sixth in shots on goal (26) and ninth in assists (4).

Junior Emily Caldarelli also joined Forsythe on first team by leading the AEC in assists (9) and coming in second, behind Forsythe, with 27 points. Earlier in the season Caldarelli broke the Wesley College soccer programs previous record of career assists by ringing in 25 in her 34 games played as a Wolverine. Caldarelli was also named Atlantic East Player of the week twice this season.

Juniors Amanda Moccaldi and Allison Backert joined Forsythe and Caldarelli on the All-Atlantic East First Team.

Backert was a key component in the Wesley defense, leading the back line and the goalkeepers to a 1.06 goals-against average, good for second-best in the Atlantic East.

Moccaldi, who is a key player in the midfield, added two goals, one a game winner, to total five points on the season.

The Wolverines ended their season 10-8 overall and 5-2 in conference play.
