Women’s Soccer Wins 3rd Straight, 6-1 Over Notre Dame (Md.)

DOVER, Del. – Kaitlyn Ennis scored a goal and dished out two assists to lead the Wesley College women's soccer team to a 6-1 victory over Notre Dame (Md.) on Tuesday night at Scott D. Miller Stadium.  The Wolverines improve to 5-1 on the season while the Gators fall to 2-2.

A freshman from Columbus, N.J., Ennis scored the game's first goal on a breakaway into the right corner at 5:26 as Morgan Warrington delivered a perfect pass to set her up.  Ennis later assisted on goals by Breonna Day and Christina Verzi in the 33rd and 44th minutes but after a goal by classmate Cassidy McSorley which was assisted by Megan DeFalco.

Wesley went into the half with a 4-0 lead as it outshot Notre Dame (Md.), 15-1, and 29-3 for the game.

Verzi was credited with an assist on Chelsi Biener's goal at 65:21 as was McSorley on Eliza Danielak's tally just over two minutes later.

Notre Dame scored a late goal at 87:54 but it was too little too late.

The Wolverines close out their four game home stand on Thursday, September 18 when they host Neumann at 7 pm.
