PINEHURST, N.C. – Wesley College's golf team finished eighth of ten schools at the Pine Needs Intercollegiate, hosted by Bridgewater College at the Par 71 Pine Needles Lodge & Club. As a team, the Wolverines shot a 46-over, 330, just ahead of Capital Athletic Conference rival Marymount (+51, 335) and Virginia Wesleyan (+65, 349).
Bobby Ehrhardt led Wesley by carding a five-over, 76, finishing in a tie for 12th out of 50 golfers. Clayton Bunting and Mason Mendoza both tallied a seven-over, 78 to place 18th overall. Cole Messick rounded out the scoring by shooting a 98.
The final round of the Tournament scheduled for Tuesday was cancelled due to inclement weather.
Wesley returns to action on March 24-25 for the Immaculata Invitational.
