How it happened

The Wolverines took on the number 3 ranked Salisbury Seagulls Tuesday night for a home contest to continue their 2019 season but fell short of the win 0-3.

The first quarter of the game had a lot of back and forth play. Many shots were taken by both teams until Salisbury got on the board in the 11th minute of the game. Number one, Tara Flavin unassisted, scored first for the Seagulls, 1-0.

The second quarter of the game was slow for both Salisbury and Wesley as they kept play between the 25. Neither team was able to score this quarter.

Salisbury leads 1-0 going into halftime.

The third quarter the Seagulls increased their lead by two goals, 3-0. The first by number six, Meghan Jolikko assisted by number seven, Tara Daddio. Meghan Jolikko scored again a minute and a half later, this time assisted by number eight Camryn Dennis.

The fourth quarter of the game the Wolverines were unable to pull off a goal, leaving Salisbury with the win 3-0.

The Wolverines now stand (8-5, 1-0) overall and will travel to Cabrini on Saturday, October 19th. Game is scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. start.
