Wolverines Enjoy a 4-2 Win at Home

How it happened

The Wolverines now 6-2 overall, took on Keystone Saturday, September 28th and came out with the win, 4-2.

The first half of the game started out slow for both Keystone and Wesley with a lot of back and forth play resulting in neither team scoring until two minutes into the second quarter when Keystone found the back of the net to make the score 0-1 

Wesley got on the board only seven minutes later on a beautiful shot by Jessica Behornar to tie the game with five minutes left in the first half.

The Wolverines gained possession again three minutes into the third quarter allowing Margaret Johnson to score to take the lead 2-1.

Keystone fired back to tie the game again 2-2, but that didn't stop the Wolverines as they answered back with a goal by Alexiss Hulse to take the lead again 3-2.

The fourth quarter started out with a penalty corner for Wesley taken by Julie Snow but resulted in a gain of possession for Keystone.

After back and forth play again Wesley's Carly Setting found the net (assisted by Julie Snow) to take the game to 4-2. Wesley's defense held strong the remainder of the game to end at 4-2.

The Wolverines will face Shenandoah in a home match up on Sunday, September 29, 2019. Game time is scheduled to begin at noon.
