DOVER, Del. – Wesley College's field hockey team fell to Lynchburg College, 3-1, on Sunday afternoon at Scott D. Miller Stadium. The Wolverines now stand at 3-4 on the year while the Hornets move to 3-2 overall.
After a scoreless first half, the teams traded early second period goals, first by LC's Morgan Lammando at 38:31. Just over two minutes later, Devin Price scored off a corner after a pair of passes from Gracie Daniels and Madison Leone.
Unfortunately, Lynchburg answered with another goal less than two minutes later and added an insurance goal at 45:07.
As Wesley goalkeeper Sarah Daniels kept the Wolverines in the game with ten saves, Hornets goalkeeper Jordan Seeley was even more impressive, stopping 16 shots.
The Wolverines will look to even their record on September 21 when they travel to William Paterson in a 1 pm start.
