Owens Wins Weekly Honor

YORK, Pa. - Wesley senior center Angie Owens (Seaford, Del./Seaford) was named Capital Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for December 20, 2010, after contributing a pair of double-doubles in two victories last week, including a CAC triumph over Stevenson. 

Owens contributed 18 points and 13 boards against the Mustangs, then added 12 points, 11 caroms and four blocked shots in limited time during a 17-point win over Keystone.  Owens, who has six double-doubles this season, averaged 15 points, 12 rebounds, 3 blocked shots and shot 50% from the field (13-for-26) in two games this week.

The Wolverines, 4-3 in 2010-11, are back in action at Rowan on December 21.
